I kept the blue leather rear seat from my parted-out 88 535is with the intention of turning it into a gaming/garage couch. This didn't happen.
I am located in the Chicago area.

Hard to say without checking with UPS first. It'll be a large, if not particularly heavy, box. Could be costly.
Re: FS: Blue leather rear seat.
Ship it freight, ie: yellow freight or look for a local trucking company that outsources to national lines. Wrap all pieces well and strap to a 4x6' pallet. It wouldn't cost more that $225+-, that's dropping off at a hub, if residential pick-up/drop off it's more $ but still cheaper than dimensional weight with UPS/FedEx...
Or, pull the skins and just ship that, buyer- re skin your old frames.

Grey Hound would be cheaper, a lot cheaper. I would guess around 130.

Just a note - the top section can be unbolted into 3 pieces to facilitate shipping as well!

I will look into Greyhound for shipping.
I don’t believe the seat back can be disassembled. Not that it would make a difference as the bottom can not be and they’ll ship together.

The seat back does come apart, it's 3 sections. It's bolted behind the center arm rest (behind the Black vinyl), often stuck together.
I'm still a believer of removing the leather pieces and just shipping those. Whomever buys them almost certainly has their original seats and it's a much less expensive option than shipping both pieces as they are now.
