L&R Automotive Machine Shop hot tanked parts and preformed B35 head rebuild. Ireland Engineering provided the parts. The M30B35 was assembled by an reputable BMW engine builder.
Stamped all rods w/pistons for cylinder location.
Dis-assembled, hot tanked all parts. Inspected oil pump, crankshaft (zero wear), rods, pistons - Standard size for rebuild. Crankshaft installed with STD size main bearings. STD size rod bearings. STD size ring set on pistons. Head gasket set, upper/lower cover set. front/rear/cam seals.
Installed new oil pump chain, oil pump tensioner. and B35 gear. Installed B34 oil pan with oil level sensor.
B35 Cylinder head was pressure tested for pin hole and stress cracks - checked OK. Rebuilt - 3 angle valve grind, 264 degree camshaft, new seals. Front cover was machined to B35 head. New banjo bolts and crush washers. Head bolts torqued. Valves adjusted.
New Timing chain, tensioner and rail. Water pump installed see pictures.
B35 intake & valve cover blasted with aluminum media then, glass tumbled. Applied VHT Matte Clear. - *These parts are still at the shop*
