Besides this incredible item. The packaging is awesome, complete with carrying handle on the box.

Just for clarification, that's a coarse spline wheel
Re: For sale is NOS M-Tech 1 steering wheel for BMW e24, e28
What does it mean?
Re: For sale is NOS M-Tech 1 steering wheel for BMW e24, e28
Is it really a coarse spline? I've never actually seen one but it looks like the same one out of my '85 and '87 cars which are both fine spine. Unless the difference in the number of splines is barely noticeable.

You can easily tell if you see the back of the wheel, fine spline wheels have an "extended" hub, with teeth where the steering lock engages.LarryM wrote: Oct 01, 2024 4:32 PMIs it really a coarse spline? Here you have the picture of a fine spline wheel to compare

Ah, I see. Thank you for pointing out the differences.Ju@n wrote: Oct 07, 2024 12:32 AMYou can easily tell if you see the back of the wheel, fine spline wheels have an "extended" hub, with teeth where the steering lock engages.LarryM wrote: Oct 01, 2024 4:32 PM

The coarse spline are generally more expensive as, I think, they only came on '85, E24s, yet they fit 82-85 E28s and E24s thru '85. So they're harder to find. Since yours is a one of a kind, new, that may or may not apply.

Yes it is coarse spline, as you described, it is very hard to find new one.Mike W. wrote: Oct 11, 2024 11:26 PM The coarse spline are generally more expensive as, I think, they only came on '85, E24s, yet they fit 82-85 E28s and E24s thru '85.
