.. I need a couple shots of the front of your cars, where the M-tech kit meets the body in the front/top/center.. you know, the little metal horizontal section that runs below the trademark bmw kidney grille.

The detail I'm looking for, is how hard the M535i kit hugs the body there so I know how much of my mounting brackets I have to keep/remove before I bolt it down.

Thanks!

Oh yeah.... your photo reminds me why I'm doing this in the first place... although it looks like you have your foglight inboard covers off in that photo (covers the space between the foglight and the licence plate mount)... I bought them for my kit, they were something crazy like $40/ea!

If anyone else can hook me up, Uri's pic is good, but I could use something a little closer.. maybe a closeup of that area.. please?

Here's a few pics of mine. Do these show what you need? Please excuse the dust...it's been parked all winter.

I would have helped you out but my front M-Tech kit is off of the car right now.

Actually there is one thing you can help me out with. :) I'm not sure how the lower row on the M-tech kit side skirt fastens. You should be able to see this by just poking your head under the car.

If you check out the above URL, you can clearly see the top row fastens with parts 8 and 9, but it's pretty cloudy as to how the lower row fastens.

I'm thinking you use a whole bunch of part # 16, which is a split plug, then drive a screw up into the centre of it, kinda akin to how the grille fastens, the screw keeps the plug split wide so it doesn't fall out. I have no freakin idea what part # 10 is for though, it's literally a plastic nut, and nothing else I ordered from that diagram has a suitable thread to fasten it to.

Thanks!

They mout the jig #21 to the body first then clip/lock in the side skirt #4 onto the jig. Normally just set it on top then push down until it locks in.
