There has been a home school association/convention the past several years. Interesting to have neighbors in town the same weekend for a very different affair!

Oh jeez, I forgot about the home schoolers. I've heard hotel and restaurant people say they are zero fun.

Michelle and I will be going. We are competing in the rally for the first time. The rally will be stopping at a drag strip and everyone will be able to make a run. That sounds like it would be a lot of fun. We are joining the group on Rolling the Twisties after the event. I just bought a 6 sp. transmission that I am going to try to get installed before the event.

Is anyone coming up from or through the Atlanta area with a larger vehicle or trailer? I'm looking at some Corbeau TRS seats near Duluth and it would be really convenient if I could pick them up at Vintage. I'm not sure if these will come apart easily or not.

seats

Post by bbaxter »

I just looked at my seats. There is a solid rod that runs through the hinge point on the seat. You could contact Corbeau and find out how easily they come apart. I called them with questions when I was installing my seats. They were very helpful. If you want to look me up at Vintage you can look at my install job. I used the factory manual brackets. Love the seats and they come in two different sizes depending on how big your butt is. The larger ones are if I am remembering right are 2" wider.

Yeah, I plan on getting the factory brackets as well. Which seats do you have? I plan to sit in one at a local store to test if my butt will fit. :)

seats

I have the TRS in black microfiber. I put them in my car in 07 and they still look new. I am very pleased. I put about 10 to 15,000 miles on the car each year. When I talked about factory brackets I meant BMW manual brackets. They were the original brackets that came in the car.

Oh I see. I've got some of those. Corbeau actually makes brackets for the e28, surprisingly enough.

I'm starting to feel sorry for all the Hee-Hawthorne guests. Between my helicopter and the gangsta-rap its not going to be pretty. I may abduct a home-schooler to help me post video however.

Ugh. Haven't even done that yet. Aaaaaannnd, I still have to email the local 02 Gruppe and then cooridinate that effort with some folks here and determine if the NoVA e28'ers can meet up.

Your helicopter won't have room to land if mine has already landed...so...the first to get there get the heli-pad. Oh and btw, I blast dubstep.

Absolutely, along with autocross shirts, more cool toys, some posters, and a line of gifts for the ladies handmade by my lovely wife. Plus, you know, car parts.

That, my friend, is what she said.
