As you may recall I had an unfortunate smash-up with a deer that I believe was on steroids back in late August. I was on the way to have the car emissions tested before taking her up to my place in NYC and then on to the BMW Vintage Weekend at Lime Rock. Well, one giant deer made those plans moot!
So, my 44k baby, s/n 75105, has been at Peter Jones' Classic Cars in Baltimore since late August getting her windshield, hood, quarterpanel and door replaced along with trim and the other bits and bobs that hold her together.
Good news is that I spoke to Peter yesterday and she's all set and ready to go now (I had told him there was no real hurry...and he took that advice pretty literally. Kindly and with my urging the car remained inside the shop for the duration of the 3 months. The car has also had it's minor oil leak sorted by Don Miller's Blue Ridge Sport Cars who has worked on the car for the 12 years I've had her.
So, all set for....winter storage! Pictures of her all back together soon but in the meantime here are the pics of her post deer collision -
