well theres plenty of parts piled in the trunk to fix those problems:
M30 B35
BMW sportline wood steering wheel
Nurenburgring front brakes
bigger turbo
bigger injectors
17X9 style 5's
spec clutch
2.79 LSD rear
and probabaly more i cant remember

I know of a few guys building nasty projects that did not come forward.
Here are my thoughts. I know that I am going to run more boost than anyone else out there. My compression is 7.5:1. I only have $700 in my engine so I have no fear of blowing it up! I am a boost junky. I figure my base boost will be 20psi. Good for the street and cruising around town. But late in the year, I am going to seriously push it and see what happens. I'll run some sort of supplemental injection and go for 25-27psi.
You guys, will need to runs some serious boost if you want to eclipse my numbers.

The reason I had my M106 block built with a balanced crank, weight matched connecting rods, oil squirters (had to have them installed), weight matched and ceramic coated pistons and the extensive head work (H6S baby) is so I can match or exceed said HP number with LESS boost. All of the little pieces put together makes for a very efficient 3.5L turbo motor. Bottom line, I will not have to run high boost for high HP.

I doubt the ceramic coating is worth any HP at all. Longevity yes, but power? No. All the wieght match is great but you won't be turning 9000rpm. Will it help, yes, but how much. The cylinder head is the key. How much better do you think it is over a stock B35 head?

Ceramic coat will be huge for power. Pistons, CC, valves stay cooler, allowing for more boost and less detination.
I have bigger intake and exhaust valves than a B35 and much better porting. I had to take a lot of material off of the B35 manifold to match the Hartge head -
Only the dyno will know, until then its all hot air.

Hi there guys I am new to this but I just wanted to say even though I do not have a e28 bmw but I know of someone that will give you guys a run. Todd knows who that is and that would be my best freind jason and his 335ist so he may not have a e28 but he does have the m30 engine along with the turbo set up from TCD and a Metric Machnic head and a Dinan intake and a big bore throttle body. The car is not running yet but it will be this sunday. I can't wait to see that sucker go its going to be fast thats for sure.

I know what you mean RDAvena the first time I was in a turbocharged BMW was when my buddy jason had a 1986 528i that was turbocharged and that car was so fast and it pulled so hard If I remember right that car was running 20 or 24 lbs. of boost let me tell you it was a kick to drive. Untill the head gave up the rotor came loose and spun in the cap. Thats when we decided to turbo a m30 3.5 liter and we where going to us the old CAR TEC kit untill we meat Todd and joson bought one of his turbo kits its going to be a real kick in the pants we are going to try for 20 to 24 lbs of boost later on down the road after we work out all the bugs.

Give me some 100 Octane for my 9:1 motor and i'd be right there with ya. that is, if my MS setup every shows up. Now, if i could talk my sister into building a turbo 2.7L for her euro e21..... I've read that the curb weight is in the 2400lb range for that thing!
How about some details on your setup? You have never posted what you actually had. It's going to require 400rwhp to get into this contest.
