The golf course was in excellent condition today. Attendants were crisp as I pulled up with the wife's Landcruiser and realized it needs brakes. . . I didn't care. Another day. There was a tee-time with a good friend involved.
Shots were shaped and beers went down. Tales were told. Laughs abundant. We had a good time. Played with the wife for Mother's day. I think I won.

Its never a good idea to have "Fighting Cock" bourbon while looking at bridesmaid dresses with your wife. Trust me.

While driving down the freeway this afternoon I saw an old motorcoach pulling a race car trailer, and the bus had a bumper sticker that read,

I think that'll be my new motto. At least for the next week or so.

Went to cars n coffee in NOVA yesterday. Just as we were getting ready to leave, ///Marine and I found two other bimmerheads. One showed up in an ALPINA '71 2002. Nice. The other told me about his old 520i.
Eventually the '02 owner asked ///Marine who works on his classy '88 M6. ///Marine points at me. The guy stops, and then full on faces me and gives me a full up and down.

Guess i really don't look like an ///M mechanic.

This evening just after dinner, some guy pulled up to my house and tried to buy my car, which does not have for sale posted on it anywhere.

I didn't get his last name, but yes, his name was Phil.
Taller guy, grey hair. I guess he's gotta be in his 60s since he's had the '02 for over 40 years...

Pretty sure I have a picture from last years ChapterFest of my kid posing by his '02.

Yep - that's him. Looong time club member, obviously. Heard he was racing Audis recently, but drags out the Alpina on occasion.

Well, ///Marine and I are going to see him tonight about some parts... Maybe I'll get to drool on his Ur quattro.

(I'm hoping to see the RUF.)

I feel like I'm seeing average condition E30 convertibles for unrealistic $$ lately. Too busy to back my comment up at the moment with ads...

Boxing lessons with Eric Kelly. Language is almost entirely NSFW, but that's life on a trading floor, er, I mean, a gym floor in NYC...

I won 50$ on a scratch off lottery ticket and was pretty stoked until the water pump on our wash machine cost exactly 49.95 a few moments later. Divine intervention. I'm pretty sure of it. I paid cash. ;)

Severe thunderstorm warnings around here tonight. The clouds have a hint of that funky green color to them, and are swirling like crazy. Should be an interesting evening. In the basement.
