On behalf of Matt Hernandez...for the DCollin WF fund

Post by TSMacNeil »

I am authorized to offer for the DCollin WF fund (1) 059 28-pin ECU. A donation to Dave's paypal fund in some appropriate amount is all he asks for, as well as covering his shipping costs of said ECU.
Based on my experience, $10 should cover shipping in the CONUS.
Shipping payable to Matt, donation to DC.

Thanks, Matt
good on ya

Knowing how strapped for cash Matt currently is, this is a real sacrifice on his part. Good for you Hurndez!

^^^ THAT

This board contains a real cross-section of industry right now. Matt has been on hard times for awhile. Takes a big man to look beyond his pain to feel anothers'.

Thanks Matt

I actually like having Matt around on the board. Too bad he doesn't know when to stop sometimes! Ah well...

Matt's a good guy, he just finds the combination of trolling at times and winding up Duke irresistable. The latter I almost understand.

X2, except I completely understand winding Duke up...

Matt has saved a lot of money for many of us and has a very high degree of tech knowledge. His sense of humor is just missunderstood by some.

I much prefer Matt's humor to Dukes look at my car look what I did today posts. Matt has done a ppi for me at the drop of a hat 100 miles away from him. I think he is misunderstood

Matt can be a troll sometimes but at least HE owns a BMW and does contribute in a positive way most times. I hope the ban isn't permanent too.

Totally agree, at least we all know how Matt is and can choose to ignore him or chime in when he is trolling. I've had some recent transactions with him and I have to say he is on the up and up. I also find his humor fresh and not at all offensive. We miss you Matt!

FWIW, I'm on board with all you guys. I don't read Duke's Tiger posts, and his military/militant perspective sometimes rubs me the wrong way, but it's fair to say he suffers from the same automotive affliction as all of us so he's ok in my book. Matt on the other hand is my favorite train wreck. I typically read all his posts (that I notice), have bought lots of parts from him, and thoroughly enjoyed having his often immature and/or asinine comments floating around out there. I even owe the guy a debt of gratitude for the help he's given me over the years in one form or another (no, not that form). It sucks he pushed the envelope to the point of crossing the line. I feel confident in saying he didn't mean to. I hope he finds a way to make restitution!

Funny - I see both Duke and Matt as trolls. Not bad trolls, but the cute one's with the hair all poofed up.

Got to take the bad with the good, I always say.

"Hey Tim, can you add a red label 413 vanos M50 ECU, and silver label 413 vanos with EWS ECU in your thread too for Dave's donation?
For cost of reasonable donation each. They normally sell for around 70 and 45 respectively
"
(from Matt Hernandez via email)

Yep,

I'll take the Silver 413 VANOS/+EWS box for $50 to you for shipping, and match that $50 to the DC Fund.

Thanks buddy

$$ sent to you and the DC fund...

Thanks Matt
(jackass)
;)

That leaves Matt selling a Red Label 413 VANOS (no EWS) box for +/- $70 to DC Fund and shipping costs to Matt.
