Looks like the sunroof is fixed. I went out driving in a heavy rain over the weekend and it didn't leak. We got caught in that really bad storm on the drive down last year. The rain flooded in through the sunroof on my wife's side. Right down her back and filled her seat with water. I am so glad she enjoys these old cars! Going to get my new stripes put on this morning and I think I will be through.

Put in the S3.23 that I was fortunate to locate on Sunday after my S3.46 started making very unhappy noises Saturday.

Got the 3.46 out and something is really jacked with it. Can barely turn the input by hand. Put the 3.23 in and it's almost as loud as the 3.46.

Headed up to Memphis Motorwerks this morning to see if we can figure something out. We are planning to leave early tomorrow morning. Hopefully it will be in the E34.

For me it would mean taking my E90 as everything I feel I've done this year has taken at least a few days to a few weeks for a part to arrive. And I'd have surely needed something critical last second that would have rendered me unable to drive Heinz had I not started on my list a few months back...

Just sayin: been there, 9 hour trip From Tennessee to S. Carolina.

Although a BMW should be more comfortable than a Honda VTX.

Do you at least have a windshield? If not, you may want to reconsider. 70 mph+ after a while on the neck begins to hurt.

Anyone need a room at the Hawthorne tomorrow night? I can't get there until Friday now and they're charging me to cancel. Maybe if someone needs the room I can avoid that. :dunno:

Need late night snack food? I'm your guy. I'll have a bunch of bags of chips in my trunk and I just made 3 packages of those break and bake cookies. The cookies may make it up to the RTT party Friday night if there are still some left by then.

I also have a 12 pack of Coke, Sprite, and a case of water if anyone needs anything when we're down there. Happy to share.

Thought about that, but I don't trust the car to make it that far. Don't want to take any chances with the wife along.

I have a set of fogs off of Bandit before the facelift (non-is fogs) that I'm bringing to get out of my garage. One is cracked and has the end cut off, but the other one is just a little dirty but otherwise fine. Any reasonable cash offer accepted and will be added to Skip's Get Brian to The Vintage fund.

Pressed the wrong button in the elevator and wound up in my wine cellar this morning. Seems that I'm out of Cuban cigars and if any of yous Canadians wouldn't mind packing a few stogies, I'd gladly take 'em off your hands. PM me please.

Well, the worst of all possible things happened to my 528e. The brake booster was filled up with brake fluid almost completely, and I just today found that out. Certainly explains where my tiny quantums of fluid have been going over the past year and some.

In other news, I may be bringing my "big" little brother. He's only 19, so he's going to miss out on the drinking, but hopefully he'll be alright otherwise.

Glad someone made it! Still have so much to pack, have to sew more tool rolls, have to make price lists, signs, attach my spoiler, grilles, weld RSMs for Greg and for display, etc.

Gonna be a long night.
