You should be pissed at the mechanic, who evidently didn't actually look at the part you gave him until after he'd already started.

That's not Powerflex's fault in the least. They sent the wrong part and made good on that mistake. You brought the wrong part to your mechanic (did you check part #s or eyeball the parts before you did?), and the mechanic started the job without confirming that he had the correct part.

Your anger is misdirected.

Only if he is familiar with the chassis. If he is not an E28 guy, he wouldn't necessarily know just by looking if the part was correct and would simply have presumed that the customer would supply the correct parts (which is just one reason why most mechanics don't install customer supplied parts.)

Fair enough, but it's still not Powerflex's fault.

It's their fault they sent the wrong part (assuming the correct was ordered), but they offered a reasonable solution in my mind.

brannman is an outstanding selller!

Post by mremingtonwilson »

I purchased an S38 TB/ plenum set up from Brannman. The transaction took only a couple of day. He shipped the day after I paid, and the parts came very well wrapped and in pristine condition.

I recommend buying from him if he has what you need.

Just sent a fender to Jake D and he was a great guy to deal with even after he was told at Grey Hound that he had to pay for the fender before he could get it.

Grey Hound screwed up and did not put down that I had paid for it. Well after talking with Jake everything worked out and Grey Hound is driving the money over to my house (do cows fly?) He was understanding and did not get mad about the problems, would be happy to sell to him in the future.

He came through at the 11th hour and 45th minute -due to uncontrollable circumstances- to provide a perfect communication and a product - resealed low mileage LSD - that worked well for my track day weekend.

Very good seller, I will do business with him anytime!

:alright:
Thanks guys, glad I could help out in a time of need! I appreciate you purchasing from me.

For the record, both are good people to do business with and I wouldnt hesitate to do business again. No time wasting tire kickers here! :alright:

+1 to Andy (South26). Bought a headliner from him arrived cracked.

Andy made good on it even though I should have filed a claim with UPS. He definitely saved me a headache!

Good seller with quick response.

lmc 337 - is a scammer!

Post by Vlad »

so about a month and a half ago I was trying to get some exterior parts from LMC337. I've sent my payment right away, never received what I've paid for, and for all I know he never even bothered mailing my parts to me. no replies to my messages either. Meanwhile, I see this guy is trying to sell bunch of staff all over the place on this forum. BE AWARE- lmc337 is a shitty seller, don't trust that guy!

For the first two weeks of the month, this buyer failed to respond to an exchange about adding a steering wheel to the request. I found it odd, I made a trip tot the shop, took pictures, answered questions - but couldn't get a response on a yeah or neigh.
Your parts were mailed - being small they went via our fine USPS in a padded envelope. Where they are at this point, I don't know.
And your last PM threatening to call a lawyer to contact my local police was so absurd it didn't warrant a response.

Soon as the funds are in my PayPal, I'll refund your $$.

EDIT - Got a PM from another customer of mine:
Just a heads up, I had that guy "Vlad" PM me about you being a "scammer" I have no reason what so ever to believe him, but I thought I would let you know that he may be messaging people you are selling to.
Thanks to him, and Vlad... Appreciate your concern for others. But hey, the USPS is Government run - another reason to worry about them managing our health care!!

Thanks, Andy.
The fender arrived and was in great shape considering it's age. A few paint chips, but nothing some touch-up won't cure. I had it installed before 5erWest. Just needs a cut/polish and some new pinstriping and it will be a perfect match!

Another +1 to Andy (South26).

I recently purchased an interior temp sensor and a distributor cap/rotor from Andy. Shipping times were fast and prices were very reasonable, so I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again.

i swapped some cardinal red seats into my eta from a parts car but the passenger seat motor was shot. so i posted this fact on the thread. 87Royal contacted me. he had the motor i needed at a great price. I met him and his Sweet e36 318ti. turns out he's a very cool dude. we talked and checked out each others cars for a while. we made the deal, I took it home swapped out the motor and my passengers have been in motion ever since. i highly recommend any business dealings with 87Royal A+ seller. thanks again Wilson.

I recently purchased one llama sport seat and a llama upper and lower back seat cushions from board member 87Royal. I wound up driving from the Lehigh Valley to Northern NJ to pick them up directly. The seats were as advertised at an excellent price and I'm enjoying sitting in a comfortable sport seat. He was a pleasure to do business with and I recommend him highly.

I also recently purchased a ICM for my eta from board member Andy South. He shipped it promptly and packaged it well. I've not had a chance to install yet, but I'm sure that I'll be happy with the part. Similarly, he was a pleasure to do business with and I recommend him without reservation.

Purchased a Turner chip and an ECU from bigjay973.

Prompt replies to PM's, supplied tracking numbers and shipped when he said he would. Both parts work great. Very happy about the transactions and would definitely do business with him again.

I too had an excellent transaction with bigjay973. Purchased a Hirschmann antenna. and althought I have not install it, the unit looks to be free of any defects. Thanks!
