i would definately buy a lightweight cf hood and trunk lid, along with some interior trim pieces. i would love to see a carbon fiber skin roof but i know that won't sell and wont be produced. i think a great place to start for our cars is the trunk and hoof. i might also be interested in a front bumper and sideskirts down the line so you might possibly want to consider those to.

my exact thoughts. i hate surfing ebay and seeing CF hoods and trhunks for retarded integras and civics for $300 or so. Even if they arent the best CF, they still are available for under $1k like TCD was asaying. I had a friend on my old Silvia forums make a custom CF hood for another member and the pricetag was just under $1k.

I would definitly love to see a CF trunk/hood combo made though. Keep wishing or start paying suckas! :D

You guys are smokin CF.

For the amount of money you are spending in saving a few pounds and making your car look way ricer, you can buy a TCD turbo kit or be damn close. Who cares how much the car weighs when you have over 300 hp?

I would go for a CF gas cap...... :p

It all depends on how much it costs - I'm sure the market will be very low if it's $1,000 per hood -- though if it were as cheap as those honduh CF hoods then... I believe more people might be interested.

CF hoods for e24s were recently introduced at $1200. I believe a few were purchased. But it's really bling since our hoods and trunks lid are pretty light anyway. How much weight can possibly be saved? 50lbs total?

take out your a/c or your spare tire in the trunk (not recomended) and you will save some weight. If you really wanna lose some weight, dont go racing with your friend in the passanger seat and a FULL tank of gas. silly ricers. they pack 4 deep and try to race.... !@#$

Agreed, the amount of weight saved vs how much money spent is not worth it. I've taken my hood on and off so many times.... it really doesn't weigh all that much! Now if you're talking about a full CF body setup... that would weird but cool :p

well those hoods and trunk lids that we're all talking about are just and idea i am hopeing to fab some other parts as well as make carbon engine parts (pipes, intake man, decals and airboxes) maybe ever some dash kits i was just wondering if it would be worth my time to come out with part such as these but i still have some doubts, i would say if i would produce hoods and trunk lids that a set would probably cost around 68$ I DONT KNOW IF YOU MIGHT THINK THAT IS TO MUCH ......................feedback anyone?

well i think you should... you'd be the only person fabing these type of parts for these cars... and as reluctant as some of these people are... there'd be a lot of lugitimate purposes these would serve... i know that i would buy parts for my car... that's for sure

if you made some front and rear spoilers for the u.s. and euro versions of our cars i'm sure there would a LOT of interest as i can't even think of why someone would object to that...

i think you should make a M-Tech style kit for the euro bumpers!!! :D

$680 for each piece or for the trunk and hood together. either way this is a good deal and i would be very interested if you decide to make some pieces for the e34. i am sure there would be some other gus on bimmerforums in the 5 series section that would be interested as well. please contact me through email or AIM or whatever if you get serious about this.
