Finally! A TCD e24. And in Cali to boot.
We have a customer in SoCal buy a kit last year. He has a 1984 633csi. He had owned it since new and it was a near perfect car. He replaced the motor with a m30b34. The top end was rebuilt but it is stock. The kit was installed by Armen at A Plus Automotive who did a great job. It's still running the stock electronics and base boost but it made 331rwhp on a Clayton dyno. Take the dyno number with a grain of salt. I got the typical just boosted response, the very surprised, "this thing hauls ass"!
The harness and ecu are being swapped to 059 soon.
now, you said it's running stock electronics. What does that entail? Do you chip the car to run the boost or does it run fine with a stock chip? Enlighten me on this, if you could.
It means hes runing the 008 ECU, which is non-tunable(no chip upgrades for turbo) with the M30b34 engine. There using a FMU for fuel control with larger injs. It appears to work OK, but runs rich right now due to non-tunability.

I'll give ya 50% -- I don't know of any chips specifically for turbo, but there are chips for 008's, so it's not entirely non-tuneable. I have a chipped 008 from Jet Performance in my car. It raises the rev limit a little and is supposed to flow more fuel at higher RPM. It ain't spectacular, but it's noticable. At least it keeps it from pinging on pump gas with 10:1 compression, which the stock 008 can't always do.

How do I get a Jet Performance chip?

Uh, call Jet Performance? ~0 :p
Jet Performance
The don't list e28 apps on their website any more, but they probably still have the info. My ECU was chipped in '99 per the label on the case. Looks like they replace the 3 or 4 smaller chips in the 008 with one 24 pin (yep, I opened it and broke the little paper seals, so now my warranty is voided. Oh no...)
Russ,
I believe Korman still offers the chip upgrade. They modify the ECU in the manner Tony described. Another possibility is F.R. Wilke or whatever his name is, the porsche guy. He can mod the ECU and you then burn your own chip. I sold the ECU from my deceased 533i 2 years ago to a 6er guy in Houston who owned a 633i. It was modded by Autothority and had the single 24 pin EEPROM.

I can mod the ECU myself, thats easy, trying to find the code is more difficult, any help would be appreciated.
