I blew a hole in my old OEM rad this evening, and need to find a replacement. I plan on obtaning a TCD kit sooner or later, and was wondering if anyone would recommend a rad that might have an oil cooler on it, so as to increase turbo efficiency. Thanks for any suggestions fellas.

stock radiator works just fine
As far as oil cooling, I'm using a 745i oil cooler and filter housing - keeps my oil very very cold. It was a night and day difference in performance and driveability (and heat!) once I put the oil cooler on.

Stock radiator works fine but the plastic tanks fail and leak. We'll be offering a full aluminum tank radiator soon.

ppf is a swedish tuning company that has built a few of the most powerful bmws in the world. they have a e20 with m20 motor and a gt35r turbo pushing 35 psi and upgraded to a 535 radiator and not some expensive fluidyne unit. should give some credit to the 535 rad.

I have a 5 spd car. What if i got the rad from an automatic e28, and used the trasmission oil cooler for a engine oil cooler? Does seem like logical thinking or more of a waste of time?

The only thing to consider is the heat of the oil, as it will be much hotter than tranny fluid, right? Will the plastic hold up at engine oil times?????
