I pulled the head this AM only to find that there are 6 divots in each piston on the intake side. Double shit !! To add insult to injury I looked down into the chain chain tensioner area and saw that the lowermost portion of the tensioner on the drivers side (looking at it from the front) was broken off and sitting on the bottom. Triple shit!!! Add this to an oil pump that was psychotic and I've got a total Charlie Foxtrot going on down there!
End result?? The motor is almost out and I'm building a new one from the ground up. The spare block is in getting cleaned, the head's in getting pulled apart and parts are on thier way as we speak. In retrospect it's probably the best thing that could happen since this motor has always been possessed. Now I will have a known quantity instead of an old motor that was literally falling apart inside.
Now we can have some REAL fun
