I didn't get picked. Ever since I started telling the truth at Voir dire, I haven't been on one trial. ;)

One of the attractive girls that snubbed me was in my jury pool and her profession is 'P.E. Teacher' so she obviously must be batting for the other team (NTTAWWT).

I'm an oddly attentive person . . . that said, I've noticed these past few years, a dude that stands on the right side of his house and smokes at the same time I pass in the morning. I'm pretty sure he stays at home and takes care of his invalid parents so he's good in my book. He may be cooking meth, but I'd like to think the best. :D Anyhow, . . . he has started standing on the left side of the house these past few weeks and it's making me uneasy. He's onto me noticing and screwing with my psyche, I just know it.

HE'S BACK ON THE RIGHT NOW!
I've got to get a pic. I'm just not sure how that's going to go down yet.
Now, I'm not craaaay or anything, but this has gone on for way too damn long. I think I'm just going to stop one day and have a little "face time" with this dude. Maybe have some tea.

Maybe it's just his way of acknowledging what's going on down the road in Charlotte. :dunno:

Got stung by two wasps simultaneously.
I've now got these two welts on my side, 1" X 4" each.
Pretty far from my heart, so I think I'll live.

Don't tell Brad, but I counter-struck and took about 20 of them out. All the rest will die this weekend, guaranteed.

Tonight was interesting... My wife reminded me to re-enable the security on the wireless router (after having disabled it for some visitors last weekend) and when the thing rebooted it wouldn't connect. Spent about an hour on the phone with Qwest tier 1 support guy (Russian/Eastern European accent reading from script; name was not Peggy, thank God) and got nowhere.

Then all of a sudden the power goes out in the whole neighborhood. Computer, DSL modem, phone, lights all go out at once, and I'm rescued from having to deal with not-Peggy, at least for a while.

I break out the candles and pour a glass of Obsidian Stout, and relax a bit before bed, and kinda waiting for the lights to come on. They come back about half way through bottle #2, so I go back to the computer to see if I can rectify things on my own. Reset the modem back to factory defaults, and after a couple of tries, get it working again WITHOUT not-Peggy's help. Halleluia, pass the wine.

What I'd just LOVE to know is why the heck changing the wireless settings would do anything to prevent the flippin' Actiontec modem from connecting to the network. Of all the cockamamie goofball things, fer cryin' out loud.

Yup, that was some good beer. G'nite.

Glad today is over.

Bought an iced tea at Panda Express. Got back out to the car, had my key in my hand, started coughing. Couldn't stop coughing, somehow ended up flat on the ground (don't remember that part). The iced tea didn't make it and I hit my head and burned my leg on the pavement (minor, thankfully - it was sorta shade of the building). Two people rushed over, I told them I was fine and thanked them for their concern.

Never even got to drink the iced tea and my shoulders hurt. Hopefully this coughing thing ends soon. Getting tired of it. I had zero control there.

Looking thru the owners manuals at work to try to figure out the Bluetooth on the Ford Escape county car I drive. Got to looking elsewhere and found no HP rating for the vehicle, but a 62 page warranty manual on the tires. 62 pages on tires? How about a list of stock sizes, PSI required and keep them away from nails. There, I said it in less than a page.

Stopped at Burger King for a quick lunch today... While I was eating, the TV near my table was tuned to The Talk, but the sound was muted, and there was no closed captioning. I'd never seen the show, so had no preconceptions about it, but what I saw didn't impress; a bunch of less-than attractive women sitting around a table talking, each one looking like they'd just stepped out of a shower or a sauna; white towel wrapped around the torso, bedraggled-looking wet hair, little to no makeup (and Lord knows they needed it)... Must be an inside joke of some kind. I don't get it. :dunno:

Funny that you had a visit by a coral snake,

Because Saturday Night, I did too!

Image

It was on the street, I saw it when I ran up to 7-11.
When I came back it was still there so I figured it had been hit by a car.
So, I walked down to move it out of the street, as soon as I touched it, it was quick to let me know it wasn't dead!
Good thing that with poisonous snakes I tend to use a hook or it could have been a long night...

Prolly about the same size as the one you found...

Not a great photo, he was trying to bury under a clump of grass....

Haven't seen a Coral Snake in the wild since I was a kid, this is a lot longer than the last one I saw, which was prolly 12-18"...

So, yeah. . .he's still leaning left.
Today he was burning out back in a can so that's something new. I would turn away when passing but there's a cornfield on the other side of the road and he would see me ride by looking at. . .corn. Can't have that. I think I'm going to start pointing at him and nodding my head.

I'm out giving the E36 it's second bath this year when a cop car pulls up, leaves it running and when he goes next door I relax a little bit. Then a cop truck, then a fire truck and finally an ambulance. They've been taking care of an elderly aunt next door and I fear it may have been time. Then again, they were there a while, so that may be a good sign.

Someone posted that picture on Reddit the other day. I was surprised at how many people on there knew it was an E28.

I ordered a fish platter last night. The waiter asks me " how would you like that cooked?". I looked square in the eye and said......BLACKENED!

Have you ever noticed that most public restrooms have no-touch toilet flushers, no-touch soap dispensers, no-touch sinks, no-touch paper towel dispensers, and no-touch hand driers... But where are the no-touch door handles?

I have two cars in my three car garage... but I still have 2 spaces left. I am becoming more and more able to SEE these two spots...

Hope to have 4 cars in a 3 car garage by early next week. Then i can finally open my shop up for work.

P.s. The fourth car is the mini, which, because i got the extended third garage spot, fits perfectly by the door. :D
