... and I'm an owner of a 1985 BMW M535i. I'm 21 years old and owner of my car since July this year.

Things I've already done:

- 17inch Replica E34 M5 rims (TRX tires are too expensive)
- Changed the 20 years old subframebushings
- Cleaned the rust around the hole from the subframebolts and welded new steel around
- Cleaned the temperaturesensor in the interior, it was very hot in the car all the time (@)
- Fixed the Instrumentcomputer and cruisecontrol
- Changed the speakers

I would like to lower my car for another 1" front - 0.6" rear, but Eibach doesn't supply E28 lowering springs anymore.

It's nice to see all the turbostuff here. In Holland (the country with the windmills and wooden shoes :D) we will replace the engine for a M-powered S38B38 %)

My car is shaking at 50miles, the wheels are balanced. Any suggestions? Think it's time to replace the front bushings/wishbones?

I'm sorry for my bad English,

Greetings,
Eric Wouters

Cartax is 67 dollar for a month and a every mile I drive it will cost 0,38 dollar (fuel is so expensive here) so it isn't a cheap hobby. Insurance is 20 dollars/month.

Nice car! I have one just like it. :)

It's interesting to compare your costs to what we have to pay in the USA - your tax is expensive, but your insurance is cheap. It's the other way around here.

Our insurance is high because most Americans can't drive.

Good point.

Even worse is that every time I've been in an accident the other drivers have had no insurance. :@

Hello Eric,
I see that you still have the problem with your car at 80km/h.If you've balanced the wheels and also installed centerrings, the only problem i can come up is that one of your wheels has a dend in it.Did your have this problem with the TRX wheels?

Hi Moby! I don't have centerrings because the diameter from the E28 and E34 is the same I thought? I didn't had the problem with the old M535i wheels, maybe the hubdiameter is too big (E39).

If the wheels are made to fit a E39 the wheel hub bore will be to big. You will have to get hub rings. I have E39 wheels on my car and I have to run the rings.
