Picked up my Dad at the airport last night. We are on the hwy and a STi (looked stock) approaches. I pick the fight. Arrogantly tell my Dad that we will smoke it so bad that I'll only downshift to 4th instead of 3rd.

He hits it first and is starting at least a full car length ahead of me. It's a nice 80-120 run. We blow by him once the m20 gets on cam.

I ask my Dad if he can believe how smooth the m20 motor is and he just comments that it felt very fast. His daily driver is a 2004 GTO.

:)

Oh yeah - sti's are known to be slugs once they hit those triple digits, I'm sure you smoked right past them :) Nice Todd!

We need a KILL section on the new site.

Tood, I will call you soon with more details of the "OPERATION FIX THE DAMN ENGINE". I need Sweeney to do some welding on my Alpina modified fuel tank in order to fix some leaks.

I smoked two pusstangs yesterday.

Nice,
your 3 car is a little lighter than the STi, right? The problem with the STi's is you never know when your going to meet the one with 400whp :p

i drove george kakaletris' (ICS performance) sti with upgraded turbo, intercooler, the whole nine yards. thing was putting out like 375 rwhp and let me tell you that thing moved! try launching the thing at 8500 RPM and no tire slippage! woulda blown me away had i raced that one!

Having driven a friend's EvoVIII that had dyno sheets for 350whp, I can say it is quite the "whoa." experience. It's a lot of thrust with no tire slip ... fun stuff. 'Course it was horrible in traffic, couldn't idle for shit, and was difficult to launch smoothly (cammed and running 24 psi boost).

Maybe the Subaru was converted to rear wheel drive for the dyno?! :) I know AWD dynos are not plentiful over here!
