You're using an adjustable regulator instead of a plain traditional one?
Correct.

Main harness finished, MS3X harness partially installed. Communicated with ecu and datalogged while turning over the engine. Discovered I wired the TPS incorrectly. Will fix that tomorrow and start on the ignition coil wiring.

Was 28F in the garage this morning.

Until he is known which should take about two runs. Then you will see the Corvette pukes wave cars past them as to not line up with Todd.

My 2nd prediction.

The limits of the e28/e20 rear diff will be pushed into unseen limits.

The dragstip is a personal challenge for me. Of course I am always interested in how I measure up but there are now enemies at the dragstrip. I am keenly interested in fast street cars of all makes and models.

Finished the coil wiring today. Only 16 wires left! Will it start tomorrow?

Finished the wiring but no dice. Battery is dead and even with a charger the engine/starter draws too many amps. Voltage drops to 10.5 or lower. May not be enough to effectively fire the coils. Did verify that I have spark and fuel though.

So, buying a new battery Sunday and installing a fuel pressure gauge before trying again.

That sucks to be thwarted by a dead battery. I await good news that it fires on the first try.

It's not a big deal. Blizzard conditions outside. Won't drive this car in the salt anyway. It just needs to be ready by mid March.

That never happens...EVER!

If you see a show where they claim it does....they have started it multiple times before hitting record.

I do wish I was there Todd when you do get it running.

I beg to differ. While you were cobbling together a bunch of mismatched parts on your M car, I installed stand alone on the boosted E24. It lit right off and idled.

Sorry for your defective battery Todd.

Pull one out of the DD. You're going to let a little battery problem hold you back? ;)

maybe its a e24 thing, my frankeninjection system worked on the first try, only bug was a starter relay that barfed right when it was time to try but a jumper wire got past that

for those that don't know its a red label 413 (3.3.1) from a m50tu on a modified 93-95 525 harness, completely hand built tone system for cam sensor and m30b35 balancer with the teeth shuffled around all installed on a m88/3

Installed a fuel pressure gauge which indicated no fuel pressure. Disconnected the return line at the regulator and switch the fuel pump on. Sure enough fuel poured out of the return line.

Smashed my thumb installing the new battery earlier so decided to call it a day. Will swap the lines at the fuel pump tomorrow. I think it might actually start.

One big thing Todd has going for him is the sensor check before start attempt and not having to stab a distributor trying to get the right the first time.

Having pulled my engine several times now to fix leaks (still absolutely leak free BTW) and install the distro....this last time I got it right the first time and it started right up.
