my. day. off.

Post by oldskool »

I took the day off Wednesay. I just did it.
No excuses, I just gave up. It was fine. Took some ME time.
Here. . . A few pics from the day. There are plenty more, but they are blurry

Nope. 1st shot is a solid marble called: "Shall We Dance". I like it. It calms me.
Other pic is of my friend who didn't believe I always carry a fake mustache in my wallet. He is trying it on, and now we have another believer in the whole "fake mustache in the wallet" escape plan.
Last pic was a trip to the yard. It was like church that day.

Michael Jordan's childhood house on Gordan Rd. Through his UNC years as well. "His Greatness" spent many nights shooting baskets in this driveway. Goal was over to the right where little silver car is parked.

Cool crib nestled among hundred year old Live Oaks in the maritime forest at the beach. Built on site of a huge 60's moonshine operation.

If I ever own this beach house I'm painting it all BLACK. Looks like Darth Vader's hat to me.

And, a random Llama. What? You don't farm Llama?

Free to be baby, free to be. What does the blue finger painting second from the top do for you? It makes me feel like sailing, but I am not a sailor.

It makes mee feel bluuuu. It's a one of a kind Howard Hodgkin. I'd rather have garage art, for sure.

I always preferred the "different colored reversible shirt" escape plan, maybe it was a regional thing. :dunno:

I sure feel like I need a day or three off. My boss, the company's CFO, just turned in her resignation yesterday. The CEO/owner didn't take it well. At. All. Things are way too tense in the office today, and it seems like there is a battle brewing. They're both in the office today, and he just asked me to pull her email account, which can't be done without pulling her entire domain account; I asked for some clarification, and he doesn't know what he wants. I hate these games, especially when I'm caught in the middle. I need a new job. Maybe I'll just duck out really early today.

Well, . . . I didn't take a day off, I took the night off. A Friday night. Thought I'd switch it up on you heathens.
Instead of endless 1800 tequila shots and a bonfire with the neighbors, I elected to attend a hospital fundraiser. No, really. I did.
I asked Wifey if she would like to join and she laughed, heartily. Even shook her head. I hate her. Image
Image
Cool Water cologne and my doggy underwear.
Image
Can't see shit at sunset through a windshield with 200k on it. Whose idea was this?
Image
There were some people. And Bombay gin.
Image
Image
And then they made us eat. I had the crab and cornbread stuffed flounder. Actually, like, 3 of them. Don't judge , I kept my elbows off the table, pants buckled the whole time and apparently I bought some art or some other shit because I found a bunch of receipts later in my pocket. Most just said BOMBAY. No art has shown up at the house yet.

Oh, for Eff's sake. You should have used part of your day off to learn how to rotate pictures.
