Well it looks like I fixed the coolant leak by adjusting the clamp and hose again. It leaked worse after the first adjustment but now it seems fine. I shall continue to keep an eye on it and the hose clamp could be replaced but it seems better now. It was not fully seated on the metal pipe at the bottom. None-the-less those parts are in my spare parts order.
On an additional note it appears that I didn't fry my heater blower motor but that it was the fan speed resistor that went south for the winter.

Did an oil change with VR1 20w-50.
Topped off all my fluids and changed the spark plugs. It runs soooo much better now with new plugs in it.
I have also been wondering why my brake fluid has been disappearing and i have to top it off every two weeks or so. well i found out today. My clutch master has created quite the puddle underneath my carpet.

Well, when I took delivery of the car, there was a puddle of brake fluid on the carpet. I was prepared to swap the master, but instead we found the feed hose was routed incorrectly after the pedal bracket was repaired, causing it to be chafed and a hole appeared. We changed that and left the master alone since it wasn't very old. Shame that it didn't last.Cactus wrote:BTDT. Very unfortunate indeed. Not all clutch problems are a cracked pedal bracket.wkohler wrote:Well, that's unfortunate.
That's good news.shagrath wrote:Got my radio back from the Kenwood service center. They found it had a bad output ic (integrated component) which was causing my fuse 5 to blow.
Reinstalled and all good!

Underhood detailing!
I was so inspired by Mike and Darin in San Diego, I replaced the hood foam, vent rubber covers, washer hose, and washer "Tee"!
Now I can't get it dirty!

After St. Paddy's, I flushed the cooling system, added some BMW blue stuff and replaced the water pump just for good measure. I still haven't looked for that little clip that holds the wire for the coolant level to the coolant bottle, I figured I would take Darin's when he wasn't looking. By the way, thanks again for the ECU!

Wondered if what I was hearing is clutch chatter from the LSD . Checked diff . Plenty of lube , Which is Mobil 1 75 w 90. 5 yrs/ 70k miles. Looks like it was filled yesterday. Does friction modifier wear out? Could be an original CV joint too,or a wheel bearing, I s'pose.
I also noticed a 1/2 " of slack in the throttle cable. The adjustment has been taken up 3/4 already . Should I be looking for the new in the bag, cable , I bought yrs ago ?
B6II is over due for the timing belt service and all that entails. It needs the usual bushings front and rear. Some of my very crude patches have held up , and some haven't. The driver's door needs to be replaced. Or at least the bottom 4 inches of it.
Rust never sleeps .
It is a shame, the drive line has about 160K on it. It is in fair tune and runs well.

- Fixing the burned out bulbs in the instrument cluster and headlight/foglight switches
- Greasing the new odometer gears the PO recently installed that are making that annoying grinding noise.
- Moving the bluetooth hands-free mic from above the instrument cluster to up by the driver's sunshade
- Installing the remote display for my new Valentine One radar locator
- Preparing the wiring for my USB power plug adapter i'm going to install next to the stereo.

Glad you're entering (I assume you are). Clean or Super clean? I would start with clean as it seems under the hood is a crazy endeavor. I won't be entering. Didn't figure I was before, but house go boom and spending several hours a day over there trying to get stuff out (the thieves are more efficient I guess), plus taxes and my usual workload leaves me no time to even put the car together to even make the trip let alone think of entering, so maybe we can have 3 M535s there again.

Installed the following:
Motor mounts
transmission mounts
flex disc
center support bearing
e36 M3 shift lever
4.10 LSD (temporary until I get my 3.23)
new crush washers for the power steering pump to stop the leak.
It was a productive day. Unfortunately, the driveshaft still knocks under hard acceleration in 1st gear.
