One would have thought that given the nice little divots in each piston that the intake valves would have been toast. Oddly enough all the valves except #4 were still in good shape. Stout little buggers, they are! They took a literal pounding.

To date my little mistake has cost me around $1600 with pistons, machining, valve job etc. and the thing isn't even back together yet. !@#$

The motor's about half done. I'm waiting on some parts from Herr Haygood and we ought to have a finished product early next week. I'd post some pics but I can't get them to work. Must be a glitch.

Don't hold your breath.....i don't know what's going on with Steve Haygood delivering parts in a timely manner. A good friend has been waiting for your basis replaceemnt front end parts for 1 month!!!!! That much time doesn't leave room for any excuse. Hope he is OK. He should keep his customer's informed. Just my 2cents worth.

I have never had any issues in regards to service from Steve. The parts in quesion for the rebuild took 4 days to get here.

I know he's had some growing pains due to his business going crazy but I've never had anything but the best in customer service.
