April 22, and we got ~6 of snow. I think we're going to jump directly from winter to summer this year.
Looks like TV in Sioux Falls is really holding onto the 1990s.
I was thinking the same thing..

Yeah, that does look pretty, umm... dated. They do broadcast their news program in HD though!

You guys crack me up. ;)

I've got a bum that hangs out by my local grocery store on Fridays so I'm going to go after him now for my picture. Wish me luck.
Dude, all the bums in Wilmington and not one willing to pose for $10?

Instead they'll just come up and ask for money while I'm eating dinner or something.

Is that what it cost you to get Emmy to hold that sign? I still don't have a phone number. ;)

Ha, I'll bet I can find you someone who does, and looks a lot better than a bum if you dig me. ;)

Holy shit...

The last few weeks have been an absolute blur. I just finished a 55 page report for my senior design class. We just completely changed a few major parts of our design, and we have like 2 days to demo it. I have two more reports due in the next week, along with two exams. This is on top of my job in retail and another job in my field (for which I need to demo a few new developments  )

A few kegs of home brew (and a few more bottles of bourbon) have only just gotten me back here. 9mil, I have your data and I'll post it soon. I did all the measurements on tuesday night, but I wrote them on a paper which I shoved in my school notebook, which I've left at school since then. I've gone over what you sent me and it sounds perfectly reasonable, I'll be able to get you more detail soon.

I have to be up in like 6 hours to go in and finalize one project, wish me luck. On a completely unrelated subject, does anyone know any surefire hangover cures?

About 15 years ago we attended the Indy 500 with the grandparents and my new inlaws. When the old folks went to bed, me and my young brother in law snuck out and crashed a lumber convention downstairs in the main ballroom. Drinks were flowing and karaoke was getting sloppy. I had about 9 eyes by then and had just made a poor attempt at singing Rick James' "Superfreak". Just as I had finished, one of the event sponsors came over to our table and wanted to know what company we were with. I popped off and said: "Big Wood Lumber"! He grabbed my hand, shook it and walked off. My father in law, who is in the lumber industry, still gets a chuckle when he hears that "Big Wood Lumber" is still in business and will be attending conventions he is invited too.

I just spent the last 6 hours cleaning and organizing my garage. Now all the E28 parts- save for the valve cover gasket- are in two plastic bins that nest perfectly in the trunk just behind the rear seats. And I have usable space now too! I hung my snowblower up on the wall with two hooks rated at 40lbs/ea. It can swap out with the lawnmower in the winter. I'm a pretty happy camper. I just sat out there in a lawn chair with a beer to practice for The Vintage. I think I'll go practice some more...

Practicing slash and burn yard maintenance. I have pretty much bucked up and split the choke cherry in the front yard. I also took care of some elms and wild roses encroaching on the drive way. A clump of locust has yet to be harvested , and the weeping cherry has to be liberated from the wild roses.

   I haven't had an E28 in 3 years and I've got lots more parts than that. Let alone the E12, E21, E23 and E24 parts I've got. Or kind of generic 80's BMW like M30 heads or G265 trannys.

I'm dreading taking my cooling system apart. If all goes well it could be a half an hour job. However if I start poking around other bits and pieces a little closer I may just replace all the rubber lines which would take (me) significantly longer. That's the dreading part. But at least I have a clean garage to work in with workspace. That's an improvement.

A week ago Monday we were graced with six inches of fresh spring snow on the ground.

Fast-forward to last Sunday; the high temp was 87° F. I used the AC in the X5.

Today -- May 1 -- we woke to this. God I love South Dakota.

Allergies started Wednesday. May 1st, just like always. How in the hell does my nose know the date. Early spring, late spring, wet or dry winter, May1st is the day sneezing starts. :dunno:
