on a pre 60-2 m30. My 85' m30 has the big plastic balancer and I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to mount a 36-1 wheel near the crank pulley.
I do, but I left my camera at home. If you can wait until this weekend, I can post a picture. Basically, I've got a Ford EDIS wheel welded to the front of the pully. This was done by machining a tiny bit of the diameter of the pully to be sure it was perfectly round, then counter boring a small lip in the EDIS wheel of the same diameter to center it perfectly.
Doing this will mean there is no room to run a fan. Also, the ideal way would be to make it adjustable, but that's a little bit more tricky. I suggest making the bracket for your sensor to figure out where you can get it, then with the motor at TDC, mark your wheel and pully where they should match up. If you can't adjust your wheel, your bracket will need to have at least some adjustability.

Hey, you might wan to check this out, its from an m20, but you can get an idea of how to mount it. Jim welded his to the front crank pulley.
