Hamburg-Technic control arm / steering set on Ebay

Post by dm.mcgahee »

Anyone have any experience with the Hamburg-Technic control arm / Steering sets being sold by FCP Groton on ebay, aside from the fact that the upper control arm bushings should be repalced with the new HD units from Meyle? Thanks in advance , Dennis

I wouldn't put them on my car. If was trying to save money however and longevity didn't matter.....then maybe

I have one on my car. Tore the bushing before I'd even tightened it the whole way. Now it's a HT arm with Meyle HD bushing. Live and learn, I guess.

I put a HT center link on the car, only to find out that one of the bearings was way loose. FCP sent out a new HT link which I found to be loose also before I even installed it. Third time was a charm, FCP sent out a Meyle. Next time I'm using all Lemforder.

All we use at my shop are Meyle or Lemforder parts.. I have not heard good things about HT either and won't use them in either my cars or customer cars.
