High fuel pressure readings

What would cause abnormally high FP readings at idle? Right now it's fluctuating between 75 and 100 at idle.The gauge checks out and I've tried the seemingly obvious things but nothing seems to bring it down. What am I overlooking?

Is your FMU adjusted properly and or plumbed properly? Have you checked the operation of the stock fpr with a miti-vac or the like?
Is ther ea chance you swapped the positions of the restrictor and the check valve in the lines of the FMU?

I didn't change anything in the plumbing nor settings. The regulator stayed in place and I didn't touch it during the rebuild. The restrictor is still in place as well. I'll check the stock regulator since that did come off the motor.

I bypassed the regulator and used only the stock unit. It sits right at 38 so something must have gone haywire in the FMU during its hiatus.

Any chance you got the fuel lines crossed?

Nope. They stayed hooked up.

It's all for naught anyway. I checked the oil prior to retorquing the head and found a milkshake. 10 miles on the darned thing. Some people should probably not take up a wrench and it's looking like I'm one of them

I'm guessing the shop missed something when they went through the head during the rebuild a short while ago. Hell, I'm getting so good at pulling the thing it's not even that much of a pisser. Had you caught me an hour ago I may have had different thoughts!

As for fuel pressure, it's isolated to the FMU so I'll cross that bridge when I get the thing back together.
