Given your location, that statement could mean a lot of things, not all of them good.

Haha. Fair enough. Not today, at least, but there a few hours left...

I have a major mission over the next week. Planning is looking good. Now for execution. I feel confident.

Will update after finish in 'business trip' thread. What I can share at least...

wish we got snow, all we got was ice which only stuck to the large amount of raised roadway we have in red stick, and i live on the boring side of the mississippi river, only plus is bonus 2nd day off work as my shop is over der and i doubt the forcasted 6 hours above freezing is gonna defrost the bridges

Give her a turn at the wheel; she'll change her tune. So might you.

Oh boy. I didn't think of that.
Pro-Tip: Do NOT ask if it's "that time of the month" either. . .
It's going to be a long day here in the Hacienda.

Drinking at the pub with the Irish mayor of Burgaw last night. He should've known not to leave his cell phone unattended. I probably shouldn't have taken all those pics of my Junk with it.

Over the next few years, we NY'ers will have many things that we will be able to blame the new mayor for.

Today, let's start by blaming him for the second half of winter that's going to kick our collective ass.

Yes, he actually *dropped* the groundhog. Payback will be epic.

Looks more like Phil jumped. Not surprising; I'm sure many are feeling like doing something similar after this interminable winter.

I think I would enjoy this winter much more if every road around me wasn't such a huge pile of shit. All of the asphalt roads are buckled, all of the cement roads are gaping with cracks. I just can't take the bumpy right anymore. It's actually a much nicer ride with about a 1/2" of snow covering them...

On the upside the main road that I live on is scheduled for resurfacing due to start in April and last until November. Hopefully it redirects the traffic elsewhere...it'll be a nice quiet summer. I can deal with the back hoes and earth movers.

No, I don't speak Japanese, but apparently it's a fairly common expression, I've seen many similar pics. :dunno: Maybe you have to be there. ;)

Today yielded a fresh roll of Gorilla tape, a cassette of Jimmy Buffett, and some BMW relays from the Pick-n-Pull. I also found some quality sockets in a Puegot 505 wagon, which I pocketed real quick-like.
Walked a half mile way towards the back of the lot and watched some guy draining fluids from a seemingly endless line of Ford Rangers. He seemed agitated and really uncomfortable with my watching him. I'm glad there was a fence between us. They don't write that Country music for nothing, I guess.
I then went all "spider monkey" trying to pull a blower motor for the e30 with only a flat blade screwdriver, but got rained on and decided it was best to come home when I slipped and fell off of the front of that car 4 feet to the ground.
Got to listen to "Little Miss Magic" all the way home driving in the rain while my ribs ached. :)

I laughed out loud when I saw this yesterday.

Medical people have a strange idea of what's funny, at least as strange as me.

Here ya go, Dave.

Technically I think they cheated because the wire's not connected to the robotic instrument, but it's neat to watch anyway. A friend's sister has one of these machines in her hospital's OR suite. She loves it. She's a gifted surgeon to start, but she credits growing up in the late 70s, early 80s and playing lots of video games for her proficiency with it.

As for "medical humor". Our stories tend to make people lose their lunch.

Thanks, Jeremy; that's pretty good! The surgeon can also modify the Da Vinci's controls so a given hand movement produces an even smaller movement in the robotic hand, and can smooth out jerky movements; they probably doubly cheated with those features. ;)

With the medical humor, my wife is an RN, so I get more than my share of it. Plus, one of the keys to coping with all the poking & prodding & probing last year was a good helping of cancer humor. If I didn't laugh...
