I had an 81 m30b32 m102 in my original swap. m30b34 is better( more cc's and higher compression). I kept the charge piping from the m102 with the recirculating design BOV.
IMHO Ditch the motronics and Ljet and go Megasquirt .
Scotty Sharpes 745 site is a great resource of info on m102 and m106

Good luck

I had searched this same website with no luck. But finally found it on the 545i section second page. Convertion on from l - jet to motronic.

Thank you Mark. Time to do so studying

I have seen this caused by several things. It can be a severe boost leak on an AFM or MAF based system. I would build a boost leak tester and make sure you have NO leaks. It can be igntion blowout which will feel much like a hard spark cut. What kind of gap are you running? This sounds like another case where Megasquirt would make life so much easier.

The AFM has been messed with I do have AFM from the motronic set up would it work on the l-jet?

And megasquirt would be nice but it looks like a lot of homework.

And what do you mean by gap?

Thanks guys

AFM. It was guys. I opened it and was able regulate the RPM as they where high and got rid of the back fire and erratic RPM needle.

Thanks a lot. Really appreciate it

Glad you got it sorted. Sorry I wasn't more clear - I was talking about spark plug gap. Spark blowout from too large a gap/not enough ignition energy will cause bucking and hesitation.
