Have a few questions that hopefully someone can answer for me.... My setup has a very flat powerband and seems extremely lacking in power at the moment, just trying to diagnose what is off about my tune.
1. What sort of timing do m30's like to be around at say 1bar?
2. What sort of boost/power levels can these run at on pump? I have 93
3. At the same 1bar of boost (61mm compressor), which spark plugs are recommended? (Currently I am running the NGK 7's, wondering if I should try 8's?)
Thanks guys for any help.

Re: Turbo tuning advise needed please!
My tune drops timing to about 11*@ 1 bar.
I recommend getting a "Knock sense" and install the led light where you can see it. It really helps to recognize when the motor knocks, so you can richen it, or dial timing back.
good luck

6 headgaskets in 6 months, thats what too much advance got me

so I found out I skipped the #1 rule when installing megasquirt....... VERIFY THE BASE TIMINg WITH A LIGHT!!!!!!!...... corrected the #1 angle (somehow it was 13* off!!!) and car is freakin awesome now
now what about the spark plugs? should I go colder to the 8's or stick with the 7's?

That was going to be my first suggestion, made the same mistake. Ive used both 8's and 7's and it runs a bit better on 7's for whatever reason. I'm also down to 11-12 degrees at 1 bar on to peak boost. How far you can go is a bit up in the air. I have yet to change my head gasket running 16PSI on 91. I'm sure I'm pushing my luck but whatever.
