I've been noodling it. It's not as simple as you might think. The T4 flange is quite a bit wider than the K27 base. I don't think it's like rocket surgery or brain science, y'know... but it's not like carving butter either.
It would be pretty easy with a mill, but I don't have a mill. I think I can get it close with the drill press and some diamond bits, then some final shaping with the die grinder and some filing.

I've got a mill. Once I have my CNC setup completed, I might look into making these if there's a market in at least the double digits. Otherwise, it wouldn't be worth buying the cooling/lube setup that'd be required.Velocewest wrote:It would be pretty easy with a mill, but I don't have a mill. He's right -- it doesn't make any sense for TCD to sell an adaptor. Dan Miller is covering that ground, better for Todd and Sweeney to put their effort into further development of their existing and new products. For me this is just fun, no profit motive and no pressing need, just another brain teaser to solve.T_C_D wrote:I sell manifolds that are brand new and superior. At $599 for the 745i guys it seems like the way to go but what do I know.Yellow2 wrote:Todd, you should sell the flanges with large turbos hanging off them

I agree -- TCD is moving forward in turboing our cars - spending time and money to produce flanges to adapt old technology to new technology is a waste. Making efficient, new systems is a much better business idea.
Let Dan Miller continue to control the 745i world - though... I'm not impressed by his lack of numbers on his overpriced merchandise.
