Best Clutch for -765 Sachs PP

Post by e30isking »

Hello everyone,

I have an E34 M5 with a S38 B38 engine. I am slowly walking the turbo route and my clutch has died.

I will replace the Flywheel with the S38 B36 Single Mass flywheel (surfaced).

I am interested in the -765 Sachs PP for its holding capability and availability in EU. However I don't know the best clutch to use.

I would like to hold as much tq as possible, with some drivability, so maybe I should avoid the puck sinter metallic.

Is there any clutch you would reccommend? Sprung Hub?

Thanks,
Paulo

At what torque level? Any drivability issues?

Do you have a link for that clutch? Is it sprung hub?

Mine is a full circle disk w/ spring hub, and clutch masters pp. I was surprised how light the pedal was after trying a spec stage 2 . I'm maxing out my m106 /k27 at 18# somewhere around 325hp /325 torque and I abuse it every chance I get. I've had it for several years now and highly recommend.

Thanks. However I will need a stronger solution for around 800nm-1000nm.

I am looking for a sprung hub, marcel Spring, multi puck clutch with some aggressive material, either ceramic or sintered...

Besides clutchmasters, what would you recommend?

765 with oem disc is MORE than enough for a B38,,,, N/A

i think the Sachs 765 is one of the best press that is around,,

but you could also go ..http://www.specclutch.com/cars/BMW/M5/1992/Single if you want to go heavy duty F/I
