I'm still a few months away from having all I need to finish the turbo on my e24 but I have a few questions I hope someone can help me with.
I've bought most of my stuff from TCD and it's all amazing and Todds customer service is on point. I've opted to make my own intake and charge pipes due to the e24 having copious amounts of room under the hood. But the location and plumbing of a few parts is a little confusing.
First as I understand it my bov wastegate and fmu will all be activated by pressure from the manifold vacuum lines. And if I understand it correctly from the air filter it will go 1 air filter 2 maf/afr door. 3 compressor 4 through compressor to charge pipe where bov will be located.
My question is how to I plumb the iac valve into the system. It runs on the intake pressure after the throttle plate so is it one directional? And will boost hurt it? And where do I add the return line, before the compressor or will it basically be on the charge pipe.
Last question is the valve cover breather. I'm assuming you don't want boost into the valve cover area but where would you put the line in relation to intake pipe or charge pipe.
Any info is greatly appreciated

Idle control vale = charge pipeJonMcCann13 wrote:

Crankcase vent = intake pipe before the turbo

Thanks Todd
I read the install info a bunch of times and couldn't figure it out. Thanks

Re: Turbo plumbing questions
Just a bov and fmu question.
There's a nipple on the bottom of the manifold already that runs the stock fuel pressure regulator. Can I use that for the signal for my fmu and bov or do I need to tap a 1/4 barb into the manifold

Re: Turbo plumbing questions
One more question. Do you need a gasket between the turbo and the manifold. And do you need a gasket between the wastegate and manifold.

Thanks Todd
I didn't know you could put the copper seal stuff on there and it would be ok.
