1985 euro 535i. $3000
For sale is this wonderful euro 535i. $3000
I would keep this car and be buried in it however if I don't sell it, that may happen sooner rather than later!
The good
Really straight body
No rust on shock towers. Minimal other spots. All body work original
Interior 5/0.
Sunroof works
New front calipers and rotors
The bad
Air doesn't work
It has sat for 2 1/2 years without being driven.

That's a nice car and a nice price for a euro spec model, especially if the rust is limited to the bubbles on the hood and the passenger door. You will have more success on this board if you can provide pictures of the rust-prone areas to show they are clean: rockers, jack points, the rear valance by the gas tank and the spare wheel well.
The hood looks misaligned. Is this from any damage or because it's not latched?
Also, your car has some desirable options. You should try to take a picture of the mounting tabs while the moonroof is in its vented position. If this area is also rust free it will help your cause, as will pictures showing the condition of the fender flares.
Finally, what do you know about the drive train? Is the engine 10:1 compression? You can use the VIN to find out. Is the gear box close-ratio? What about the rear differential? There will be a tab indicating both the ratio and whether or not it is limited-slip.
In any case, GLWS. Usually i try not to bother people but I like silver cars so you'll have to deal.

The reason I bought my e23 is the fire extinguisher mounted to the driver's seat. Since this car has that option code, maybe showing that will get the folks excited.

PM/e-mail sent. I'm not too far and would love to replace my dearly departed Euro 528i that just happened to be the same color combo...

Is that a high compression engine?

Car is no longer available, I picked it up this morning. Needs a fair bit of freshening but the car is solid, Brad was a pleasure to deal with and I think it was $3k well spent.
