From what I can see,you need the following.

1) Lots of beer.
2) Longer 8mm exhaust studs to attach e.manifold to the head.
3) A pipe to get from the turbo to the intercooler.
4) Maybe a custom motor mount depending on model.
5) No ABS if you decide to use that intercooler

Cant think of too much more. Maybe in the morning.

I also have a 533i so I don't have ABS from the factory (bonus?).

What about the fuel and timing requirments?

Any idea about the block?

I am running the same 008 ECU and I maintain stock boost (8psi) with the wastegate. I have stock 533i injectors. The no ABS is a plus as the IC pipes right there. Here is a pic of my IC through the front. Stock fuel pump, fuel filter change, premium gas, stock block but its changed from an '87 m30 535iS motor. I see no problems running stock boost levels. If yo uwant to run higher, get an 059 ECU and get larger injectors + rrfpr or talk to TCD about getting a made kit. A little more and you get great help. Here is how mine is setup.

Theres no electronics in the pic to run the fuel enrichment you'll need. So a FMU is in order as yellow said.

12mm studs - Are you high?

They're 8mm.

and to add-on to #4 - a 533i passenger's side mount works well too.
