Can I put 550hp to a JB Racing 8lb aluminum flywheel with a spec clutch and it hold long term?

This is a little bit vague.... Which clutch kit? And what is long term to you? Also clutches are usually rated for tq, not hp..... a 550whp m30 will make a good bit over 600wtq and the only one spec has that is close, in single disc form, is the stage 5 and I would be hesitant to drive that on the street.

I've been using a 3+ in my daily driver, rated at 525ftlb, for about 25k mi and it's beginning to slip on hard shifts (flat foot) into 3rd and 4th...... and I'm only making about 450wtq

The best way to go for that amount of torque imo is a twin disc setup, to remain somewhat streetable..... also a setup spec sells $$$$

Looking to put a stage 5 spec in the car we are building for my son with an aluminum flywheel. Was looking to use the SB80A flywheel from spec but do not know the weight and they are closed until January. Did not know if we needed to run a steel flywheel or if we could cut the weight and go aluminum. Last thing I want is a flywheel coming through the floor.

Is the double clutch setup the best way to go?

Twin disk is the only way to go. If you are talking about 550whp from an M30, then the torque that goes with it is enough to warrant the twin clutch.

So what's the clutch to get right now?
I have the clutchmaster segmented kevlar and it OK because my 205s just keeps spinning but
when it grips the clutch does a burnout instead.

Apparently, the best clutch is a C4 trans.
