M30B34 Oil Pan Thickness?

Post by ReidCWagner »

Wondering if anyone here has an oil pan lying around they wouldn't mind measuring the wall thickness for me, primarily the passenger side. I recently installed an MS2 setup which works great and I'm ready for tututu noises from my engine bay.

Yeah its for a -10AN drain fitting. I may just end up drilling and tapping the boss on the engine block since I feel like the oil level is above where the pan attaches to the block on the passenger side due to the angle of the engine. I think I read somewhere this is where the euro 7 series turbo drains were.

Yes, but I also used thread sealant as well when I tapped the oil pan a couple of years ago.

It doesn't matter. Putting it on the drain hole is the same thing.

I've had a 1/2" npt hole in my pan for almost ten years now. Zero issues.
