Now my M5 is on the road after 7 year rebuild..... I installed the tabbed reinforcement plate this afternoon. My bracket was in fact cracked. Not fun to do lying on your back and small hands are a plus. Got it all done and clutch pedal feel is great, it was not good before and that was because of the bracket flexing.

I did loose one of the 6 mm nuts behind the carpet so thanks for supplying an additional one!

figured this might interest a few people on here as well as potentially bring some more business for Mr. Depin.

i used his bracket and modified it slightly in order to mount one of wilwood's remote master cylinders because my stock one wasnt flowing enough fluid to disengage the clutch on my 302.

Thanks again Dave! Received the part a couple days ago and installed it last night. It's a very robust and well-made piece with all the necessary tools (i.e. hardware and instructions) to get the job done quickly. No apparent cracks in my original bracket, but I feel much better knowing it's now reinforced.

As a note to future installers... I had trouble getting a socket wrench on bolt #2 (closest to firewall) until I realized that depressing the accelerator pedal moved a portion of that linkage out of my way and freed the space to get a socket wrench on that bolt. Whew! Wish I figured that out a little quicker
