fs: turbo + g265 + megasquirt package

Found this on craigslist. Seems like a solid deal. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/pts/6278072131.html

How did you come to that conclusion? Seller's math is probably flawed too unless the dyne numbers referenced are uncorrected which is highly unlikely.

14psi, I made 330 rwhp and 354 torque

is that pretty typical for an m30b34?

I called the seller up. His e28 was done on a Dynojet in Reno with a correction factor "SAE smoothing 5". Even if his estimation at sea level is wrong vs his #'s at 4500ft elevation, those are pretty good numbers.

So it was already corrected for elevation and other ambient conditions. It was probably corrected by bout 18% but turbo cars generally don't lose as much as a n/a car at elevation so it will likey make less not more at sea level.

Back in 2006 my stock m30b34 made 347/395 at 800ft on a dynojet.

todd. did you ever fuck around with cams?
i'm wondering how much power you saw with just a cam.

I have used the b34, b35 and PB Cam. The PB cam made the most power but it behaved poorly in low rpm situations. The b34 made the most torq and resulted in my fastest 1/4 mile pass (119.72mph)

Well I called the owner and shared with him what Todd said, and he in turn then called the shop to get the correction factor. Todd is right. It would not make more power at sea level as those #'s are built into the correction. However, it was 105 degrees that day in the shop when he dyno'd. So it still made good power. My original point is that $2300 is one HELL of a deal for someone looking to turbo their e28, especially as it includes a g265, driveshaft, and a Megasquirt 2. I spent more than double building my turbo setup before moving over to the ls3, so for someone wanting to get in a complete turbo setup this is a steal.
