Got right rear sway bar link repaired and the oil changed yesterday Today I fixed a small crack on Lucy's dash and resealed the trunk gasket on the right front corner just in case it rains. Lucy is ready to go now. 15 hours non stop with Mario and Alex. Hope to be at the Comfort inn airport by 8 or 9pm Wednesday night. See ya'll there. Tedster

Just finished bleeding the brakes and power steering after re-installation of my hydrobooster (rebuilt by Jay Stratton - thanks man!)

I must say - I found this job to be more painful than expected. Probably because I tried to disrupt as few other systems as possible during the R&R. Anyway, hopefully never needed to be done again!

I'm in the middle of installing an OEM C33 radio from an E36 into my 84 528e. I like the looks of the unit as well as the fact that it has a weather band feature. To function well the C33 should be installed with its amplified antenna.

M20 valve adjustment. I bought the BMW valve adjustment tool and it's so useful for the driver's side valves.

on the v8 car this weekend consisted of:

-block/radiator coolant flush
-Dakota digital tach adapter install (needs some troubleshooting, having some issues)
-found gas in the oil so changed that.
-pulled the intake and fuel rail to discover #4 injector had a stuck pintle and replaced that.

went to go for a drive and the starter made its last rotation ever so replaced that.

then drove it 75 miles over Saturday/sunday. being the first time its truly seen the road in over 3 years  . need to track down the source of an inconsistent misfire but I'm extremely happy with the productivity of this past weekend.

Today I passed my smog test and got my 2019 sticker. After getting a new cat installed, it passed with flying colors. Also finally got to installing my e34 front brakes and stainless steel lines. Honestly feels the same as before. Maybe after installing the rears and another bleed it will be different.

Installed a BMW oem C-33 radio into my 84 528e. They were found in lots of E-36's. I like the vintage look and the weather band. Word of caution: the C33 requires it's powered antenna and antenna base in order to perform its best.

Performed a brake fluid flush at work, and found out that my LR caliper will not bleed at all. That's 2 for 2 on my cars. Hoping it's just a swollen hose, but I'm replacing the caliper soon Anyway. PSA: replace brake hoses and check your calipers after 30+ years of service.

Changed the fluid and bred the brakes recently; was pleased the the old fluid looked pretty good. Picked up a cargo net from a z3 at a salvage yard...will mount it on the driver's side of the transmission tunnel.

Can you provide me with the link to the led you used if you ordered online or a part number?

I would love to, but, honestly, it's one I had lying around in my collection of random automotive bulbs & LEDs.

Compounded, polished, then waxed the metal trim around the windshield and the back window. Original trim, parts of it faded to bare metal. Used MeGuiars products. Has a nice, shiny patina now.

Vacuumed an ant colony out of the hood hinge area, cleaned the driver's door jamb switch so it would work again, and drove for 130 miles.

Am refreshing the front suspension and experiencing scope creep! Today I welded the steering bracket reinforcement into the replacement front subframe. Cleaned up and painted so that I can wrap up the suspension tomorrow...

items from this summer:

I also installed interior light dimmer relay.
New trunk seal.
Replace clutch master and slave, and pedal box.
New headlight lenses, all 4.
New shock tower mounts all around. Rear left tire no longer rubs!

I think all suspension rubber has now been replaced (over the last 4 years).
