E30 seats into E28 chassis adapters - Ready to ship!

Hello fellow E28 enthusiasts,

I was looking at some E28 sport seats and noticed the steep price compared to E30 sport seats, so i did some research and found that E30 sport seats are basically the same seat, except for the mounting base. And they are much more affordable then the E28 ones. The E30 sport seat mounting holes are just a little close to each other (Left to right slider).
I designed some seat adapters that will work plug and play with E30 sport seats into a E28 chassis.
They are made from 6061 Alloy and are 5mm thick. Will come with hardware so the kit is plug and play and ready to install, included with 5mm thick spacers for the other rail!
I’m considering making a batch if there is enough interest.
Here are some pictures, mounted in my own E28. They are still raw. I will need to get a quote on either powdercoating or black anodizing. Or i could leave them blank to be spray painted by the customer himself.

Think i have enough interest for making a batch.

Are you providing one adapter for each seat (shifting the seat location towards the center using the original e28 mounts on one side) or a pair of adapters (for each seat) that allows the seat to be centered on the original e28 mounts?

I'm looking for the latter.

The first. This is also the most natural position. I have tried others but they dont feel as natural. Lee from Massive Brakes also used this method.

Hi everyone,

First batch is being made. I spoke with the anodizing company, they were hesitant and told me finish would sometimes be off due to edges. So i am opting towards powdercoating or delivering them raw finish. They can be easily spray painted satin black. Also won't be getting scratched as they are hidden away pretty much (see my photo's).

How would you guys feel getting them RAW finish? This would speed up the process ass swell.

Just my thought: finished product sells better than 'some assembly (additional work) necessary (nee painting from raw item).
Willing to pay additional for black powder coat.

Raw should be ready to ship next week. Had some slight setbacks (got sent wrong bolts) but hardware and packaging are ready.
When i have the product ready to ship, i will take payments.
