Life begins at 1 bar!
So the 535is has been running 9psi since 5erFest. I have been driving it daily. The 325i has been sitting and today gets delivered to it's new Owner. I finally found the time to install a 255lph fuel pump in the 535is and install a 1 bar wastegate spring.
Holy shit! Nothing like adding 75rwhp to a car to wake it up! Man I love that car now! 40mph roll on burnouts with 255s! Gotta love it.

wastegate spring
" 1 bar wastegate spring" I wish I had a 1 bar wastegate spring. Hint, Hint, nudge, nudge.

lol, I think I may have a bad airflow meter. I will play around with it when I get it over to my new house...
BTW, I disconnected the O2 sensor the other night, and nearly all of my drivability problems went away...go figure. Sometimes its just the Motronic up to its old tricks...I'll be swapping the AFM and see what happens.

That can make sense. Disconnecting the O2 will run open loop, and just run from maps. W/O adaptation running, your car will run as it was intended at the factory, but probably either rich or lean. The only issue is if its runing lean with boost, but your FMU should take car of that.Kyle in NO wrote:lol, I think I may have a bad airflow meter. Sounds like a bad O2 or sensor in the system.

I had a pile of issues with my motor until I realized the harness was shot. Mine did all kinds of wierd things, ran like shit, ran great, didn't run at all....you name it.
Take the time and check the wiring. Mine looked just fine but I found two breaks in the 02 sensor wires buried deep in the harness.
