M635csi ECU HELP. Need 0 261 200 055 or ALTERNATIVE

Hello I own a 1985 BMW m635csi but my ECU had vanished from the previous body shop while the car was being restored 10yrs ago. so I am out of luck.

Anyone has a source of Bosch 0 0261 200 055 ECU for my M635csi or anyone know an alternate Bosch ECU that might work with the M35csi until I find a proper ECU 055? unless I could also implement a custom solution .... Custom/programmable ECU? VIN: WBAEE31090XXXXXXX

OK. I will ask THE question and face the consequences...
Instead of the BMW ECU 0261200055
Will I be OK, if in the meantime, I attempt to install another ECU allowing me to limp with the car or drive suboptimally until I source one 055 less than $1200?

I might be able to help if you have the S38 engine.

You can use the 079 from the US M5/6 as long as you change the chip to one from a euro car. I ran an 079 with a euro Dinan chip for over 20 years with no problems. Keep searching for an 055, they are out there.
