Good morning to all!
New owner of a US spec 1988 e28 M5
I am on the search for a good condition m5 steering wheel.
I’m familiar that our m5 seems to have had both large and small spline types.
I bought my car with a m tech II steering wheel and I’m looking to replace it with an original steering wheel.
Which steering wheel (m tech 1) did our cars come with, and what other sizes fit our cars?
I would prefer a steering wheel smaller than the original 385mm.
Anyone have one they are willing to part with?
Thank you!

Re: M5 steering wheel spline type
US M5s were built after the change to the fine spline wheel. 9/85 is the production change date. Typically called Coarse or Fine spline for the two different types.
