Hi, I am rebuilding my M30 from my 87 535isand cannot for the life of me remember where this part goes, or what it is. It was with my timing chain parts but don't know, any help for this novice engine guy would be greatly appreciated
Cheers

hopefully this works,
Now to wait for the experts.
Re: What / where does this go
Since you mentioned timing parts, the plastic bushing could be from the oil pump tensioner.
Threaded part seems to be for the compressor bracket/tensioner

Federico is right:
Plastic bush is (22)
And threaded parts is (5)

Just so everyone knows what we're looking at, no help from Flickr, here we go
The D shaped metal stud looks familiar. Not saying it isn't by the A/C compressor, but it doesn't look right to me. Something by the oil pan or something... Maybe. I've seen it, but where? The fiber bushing I haven't a clue.
