What is the history of this unit? Mileage? etc.

Removed from a Euro M635CSi with approximately 128000 kilometers on the dash. Non running car when I acquired it for parts. Has been on my shelf for 10 years, saved as a spare for my 2 M cars.

Why do I want an M5 box compared to the standard 535i box?

There are a number of steering box part numbers that seem interchangeable. 32131466161 seems to be the latest revision then 32132225121. Yours seems to be a 32132225120. It's old enough that it is not coming up on RealOEM.

Also, I can get a reman box all day long for < $400. Explain to us why your box is better. Don't miss understand, I am not being snarky. Convince us.

Red tag steering boxes are a close ratio box, only installed in E28 M5 M6 and in 635 and the Euro M635CSi This was removed from a Euro E24 chassis.

Hi Mario, Did that person follow through with purchasing your steering box? I just sent mine to be resealed and UPS says it's lost. So if by any chance you still have yours or you know where there is another one I would be very interested. Will pay what it costs..

Also, does anyone know if the 635CSI steering box also has the same red tag and ratio as the M6 and M5? Earlier in this thread Mario stated that was the case but I've read conflicting information.

My shared information in regards to the red tag comes from "PARTS USE" in ETK based on part number

32 13 2 225 121 which was used in E24 635CSi E24 M6 and E28 M5
