Maybe you snapped off 5 tightening to 80lb tq...
All kidding aside, wheel bolts tightening to that spec.
I just do snug amd a little past.

9Nm but honestly I've never torqued them. Just go by feel. It's just a cover.

If you're referring to the Bentley manual, on page 4-9 it says 9 newton-meters or 80 inch-pounds, not foot-pounds. As mentioned, just snugging them up is really all that's needed - 80 inch-pounds is equal to just 6.667 foot-pounds.
