1988 bmw oem shop manual

I own a e28 M5 and I’m considering purchasing a factory shop manual.
Would anyone here know if the m5 is included or is the a
“ m5 supplement “ to the manual ?

I have a copy of the factory service manual and it does not cover the M5, just the 528e and 535i. However, it's apparently00 a US version since it doesn't cover other euro models. It may be possible that manuals sold in other countries have an M5 supplement, or it may be a separate manual altogether. Sorry this isn't a great response...hopefully someone else has better information.

The E28 Bentley repair manual addresses all the basic stuff. You won't be working on the engine yourself - you can search for specific M5 engine info, like:
