wtb?exhaust studs 745 manifold

Does any one know where to get the a set of exhaust studs for 745 turbo manifold for m30 head?easily

wow! they have everything.

what would the technical name for a stud that is 8mm x 1.? to a 10mm x 1.? or does the head have to be drilled and retapped?

That would be a "stepped stud" but I doubt you'l find it. Either drill and tap the head for 10mm studs or use 8mm studs with a 10mm x 1mm wall sleave.

Better still, buy one of our manifolds :D

I keep forgetting the thread pitch... take one of the nuts from your exhaust manifold to lowes hardware and see what pitch it is.

But yeah - McMaster carr has 8mmx110mm studs that you can slap right on. I've had my setup for about 2 years-ish like that with no problems. Tapping the head is too much time and money - - versus $40 in studs.

So a longer stud itself will work as opposed to a larger diameter one?

he longer stud will hold it but the alignment may not be optimal, hence, the suggestion of the sleaves... a couple would do it.
