Finally went to the track last night....

Post by Kyle in NO »

Nice weather, about 74 degrees. Only ran 3 runs with some really shitty launches, but still ran a best of 14.336 @ 101.89! I'm pretty happy about that, and with some nice launch technique, I KNOW I can get to 14 flat or maybe even 13.999 on a good day as-is. I had to back out of the throttle a bit too because of wheel hop. Best run occurred at 12:30 am lol....Midnight Drags...

TCD S1 kit running 11psi on a b34 bottom/b35 top end. Felt pretty good tonight. Booker claims that a few people in the stands were impressed with that "white BMW" after a few pulls ;) They kept saying that "it must have something done to it..." I guess they be correct!

Awesome Kyle. Glad you went! Can you post the details from the slip when you awake? Did you shift into 4th gear?

Wheel hop = need new subframe bushings.

Wheel hop = original rear shocks from 1984 lol. Subframe bushings are brand new HD units. Plus I wasn't slipping the clutch enough either.

With stock lower end and b35 head, the CR is lower, ~7.5:1. So 11psi is high 200s whp.

Based on the MPH it's closer to 250-260rwhp.

Todd,

That's unpossible. I heard you can get 280 whp easily with a 535is with a chip, port/polish, k&n, and cat-back. I read it here on this forum.

Are you talking with a turbo also, or NA and that equipment.

If NA, Ive yet to see a dyno of a M30b34 worked to the max make more than ~240whp, even with stoker cranks. Now, I haven't seen every dyno either, but Ive seen alot. To be fair, Ive not seen a dyno of a NA stoker M30b34, but Ive/weve heard from people with worked strokers of really disappointing dyno results, but none ever posted any that I can remember. And Id remember a 250whp NA dyno.

I think Mr. Booker is being a bit facetious, with a healthy sprinkling of sarcasm.

Russ apparently didn't get the reference.

FYI, Russ, "unpossible" isn't a real word.
