New addition to the FI E28 fold - couple of photos

Just recently got my E28 back on the road after a turbo installation so I thought I would share some info and pictures.

The system is based on a BAE system that I believe is very similar to a DINAN setup. You can see from the pictures the intake setup is not optimal, but it is simple and I did not have to move the washer fluid reservoir, ABS or ABS lines, charcoal canister, coil, AC. The install required no metal cutting etc.

Right now its setup for low boost - about 6 psi, but it certainly noticeable

Thanks to Jim (aka canyoncarver) and Todd (aka TCD) for a the information/advise. Also Jesse ( aka 6throttles) at KB Motorsports for help getting the Turbo rebuilt and doing all the tuning and adjustments etc......

I really like your car, GTA. The French-ized setup looks nice...I don't know if it would look good on many other body colors or not, but it definitely works with yours. The car is far apart from "run of the mill", and that's really why it has so much appeal to me. Could you remind me what trunk spoiler that is?

Looks like some great work. I like seeing other Turbo kits on the road. Other than TCD, they are very rare indeed.

One comment, I think you main HP restriction right now it that POS air filter you have. That is the same one I had on my Fiat 124 Spider, it only had 100 hp though. You really need to get rid of that. Look for some "mushroom" foam filter that will fit that space. I would start with iTG out of England.

I like the way the HKS filters look, don't know they perform though. Seems like a lot of import tuners used to use them in the 90s...

I am running a iTG. Depending on where you look for info, they flow better AND filter better than K&N. So THERE!

Its nice and squishy too, which helps it fit in all kinds of tight places.

Sure looks like it to me -- the "V" should point down on the leading edge for automobiles. For motorcycles, the "V" points up (on the front tire at least).
